LL 37 is a peptide that features 37 amino acids derived from the C-terminal of a larger protein in your body known as cathelicidin. Cathelicidin (hCAP18) exists as the only naturally-produced human cathelicidin in existence. The compound is found in multiple parts of the body and produces an amino acid sequence that begins with 2 leucines (hence the double L).LL 37 peptide is tasked with eliminating foreign micro-organisms through membrane disruption.
